Situation

The ownership of Beta Center in Mayfield Village, Ohio wanted a new leasing agent for their 182,080 square feet, four building campus, which is comprised of warehouse, manufacturing, lab and office space.  For the purpose of introducing fresh ideas and new, creative thinking towards improving occupancy, Beta Center ownership selected Weber Wood Medinger as their representative.

 

 

Challenges

Beta Center had a vacancy of 38% (over 65,000 square feet of vacant space), upcoming lease renewals, and was in need of exterior cosmetic repairs.

 

 

Results

WWM’s Denise Hahn worked with the building ownership to update the property with aesthetic building improvements that included tuck pointing, a newly paved parking lot, freshly painted exterior and new signage.  These changes gave the building a refreshed look to help attract new tenants and retain existing ones.

In the two year period after being appointed as the leasing agent for the property, Hahn secured five new tenants, and renewed and extended leases for eight existing tenants, reducing the vacancy to 4%.
