Central New York, Arkansas, and South Carolina
Real Estate Disposition
A private equity company had excess manufacturing capacity and facility redundancy due to acquisitions in its Central New York, Arkansas, and South Carolina markets.
For each potential closure facility, WWM was engaged to provide details on the market in general, the value of the facility, potential disposition challenges, approximate time for disposition process, and estimated net proceeds. The facilities were in very remote areas consisting of small rural communities with little opportunity to back-fill vacated buildings.
Over the course of 2½ years, WWM was able to sell these three facilities, with production phased into other locations. The company is now rightsized and prospering with manufacturing plants that have greater efficiency.
