Situation

Skyzone, a popular indoor trampoline park, reached out to Weber Wood Medinger to acquire a location on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio.  Space requirements included close proximity to the highway, high ceilings, large column spacing, and ample parking. 

 

 

Challenges

A use variance was needed, as cities do not typically zone industrial or office buildings for recreational use.  Moreover, Skyzone needed a long term lease, as it would be cost prohibitive to Skyzone’s overhead expenses should it have to move.

 

 

Results

WWM was able to negotiate recreational zoning of a property in Highland Heights for Skyzone, in a family-friendly facility that is centrally located for neighboring suburbs.  Its current location has been highly successful, and Skyzone is now looking to open a 3rd facility in Cleveland with WWM’s assistance.
